AN EXPERIENCED AND PROGRESSIVE VOICE
I’m seeking the nomination for Vancouver City Council with OneCity.
Affordability is the issue I hear about most. Yes, it is about housing. But it is also about everyday life. Groceries, transportation, childcare, and the ability to live with dignity. Everyone deserves the chance to thrive in this city, not just scrape by.
I am deeply committed to public service; being there for the poor, working people and all those who too often feel left behind. I want to bring their voices back into City Hall. The people fixing our roads, teaching our kids, caring for our seniors, and building our homes. These are our neighbours, and they deserve a city that works for them.
We need to invest in infrastructure that supports us today and sustains us tomorrow. That means building resilient systems, facilities, water and wastewater infrastructure that can stand the test of time and climate change. It means planning for future generations, not just the next budget cycle.
I am running because I am ready to do the work to build a city that is affordable, resilient, and focused on people. I am running becuase I believe my lived experiences will support a strong team of OneCity candidates in the upcoming City of Vancouver election.

ABOUT FABIAN
I'm a first generation Canadian that grew up in poverty in the inner-city. That experience shaped my commitment to equity, integrity, and practical solutions that put working people first.
I’m a public servant with over 15 years of experience across municipal, provincial, and non-profit sectors having worked for cities across western Canada. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on listening to people, solving problems, and making a tangible difference in their lives.
I'm an engaged member of OneCity serving on our Council Caucus and providing advice and support to OneCity's only member of City Council (and a darn good one, I might add).
I bring a thoughtful voice to the team - someone that knows how to get things done inside government.

A CARING PLACE FOR POOR AND WORKING PEOPLE
I'm a first generation Canadian that grew up in poverty in the inner city. Public services like libraries, recreation centres, and community programs were critical for me and my family to build a life where we could positively contribute. I felt the impacts when those kinds of programs and services were cut and know how important they are to creating a city where working people can build a future.

INFRASTRUCTURE THAT WORKS
Vancouver’s infrastructure should make life easier, not harder. We need to fix and maintain the pipes under our streets, the roads we move on, the community centres our kids use, and the transit people depend on. I believe in investing wisely so the city’s places, spaces, and systems serve people. We need smart, transparent planning that keeps our city moving and our communities connected. We need investments to meet our current needs and future plans as a City.

HOUSING PEOPLE CAN AFFORD
Everyone deserves a place to call home. Right now, Vancouver doesn't have enough affordable homes. Council should allow more and different housing across the city, leverage public land, and support partnerships to build more non-market, co-op, and rental housing that working people and families can actually afford to live in. When we focus on affordable homes, we support diverse and vibrant communities with the services, small businesses and public spaces that make neighbourhoods thrive.

LEADERSHIP ON CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate leadership means making choices that protect people, reduce inequality, and build a city that lasts. From greener buildings to better transit and climate resilient infrastructure, we can tackle climate change in ways that make Vancouver more fair, livable, and affordable for everyone. The City of Vancouver has been a policy leader on climate change. Today, that leadership is at risk. We need to make sure we move forward, not back on climate change policy.
